Injury report for Super Bowl; Cards give me new life (5 weeks)

All active players for the Super Bowl matchup between the Cardinals and Steelers should be healthy enough to play.

For the Cardinals, Friday’s status report lists receiver Anquan Boldin as probable with a hamstring injury. He’s returned to full practice mode.

Listed as questionable is running back J.J. Arrington, who sat out Friday with a sore knee. Also questionable are defensive end/linebacker Travis LaBoy (biceps); punter Ben Graham (groin); and defensive end Antonio Smith (knee). Smith, LaBoy and Graham were limited in practice Friday.

For the Steelers, receiver Hines Ward (knee) and linebacker Patrick Bailey (hamstring) are listed as questionable. Everyone else is probable: center Justin Hartwig (knee); tackle Max Starks (knee); linebacker Lawrence Timmons (illness); running back Mewelde Moore (ankle) and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Starters Ward and Hartwig sat out Friday’s practice…

As for me, I’ve been given five more weeks after the Tribune’s layoffs thanks to the Cards’ dramatic run to the Super Bowl. Like I said in my “final” blog, I’ve been pretty good luck for the teams I’ve covered.
